North East, PA – (September 19, 2019) – The schedule for the September 26, 27 and 28 Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania has been updated to include the Lancaster Street Stock Division. The schedule includes the running of the 69th Annual “Race of Champions 250” for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series. The event includes three days filled with racing and festivities.
Thursday, September 26: Practice will take place on Thursday, September 26, with gates opening at 3:00 pm and practice from 4:00 pm until dusk for all divisions. Information regarding a special event this night is forthcoming.
Friday, September 27; Racing will include the Race of Champions Asphalt Sportsman Modified Series in a 75-lap event that concludes the second four-race season of this dynamic series. The Race of Champions Super Stock Series will compete in a 40-lap event that will complete their season and see the Series champion crowned, in addition to the final race in the TDH Refrigeration “Cool Performance of the Hottest Races of the Season” championship within a championship. The always exciting Lancaster Street Stock division has been added to the card to fill out the night’s racing activitiy.
Saturday, September 28; The featured event will be the running of the 69th Annual “Race of Champions 250”. The event features 250 exciting laps of action for racing enthusiasts and is the second longest consecutive auto-racing event to take place each year in North America, second only to the Indianapolis 500. The Race of Champions Asphalt Late Model Series will conclude its season along with support from the Race of Champions TQ Midget Series. The Race of Champions Four Cylinder “Dash” Series will once again thrill fans as a champion is set to be crowned.
Tickets may be purchased for the weekend and will be available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office or at www.lakeeriespeedway.com.

WEATHER: Pleasant. The Weather Channel is calling for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 60s, with just a 5% chance of rain.
LAST TIME: Brad Keselowski won the May race in overtime under the lights after passing Alex Bowman on lap 260 and retaining the lead on a restart, winning by 0.205 seconds. And one year ago in the playoff race, Chase Elliott won his second race of the Round of 12, leading 44 laps and holding off Kyle Busch by 0.903 seconds.
LINEUP: Daniel Hemric, who will lose his ride at Richard Childress Racing at the end of the season, won the pole after edging veteran David Ragan, who will retire from full-time racing at the end of the year, during Saturday's qualifying.
